Privacy Policy

QuorumPony is built so that your secrets never leave your device. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: it collects nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. QuorumPony has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It does not create a profile of you, and it does not measure how you use the app.

Your secrets and cards

The keys, seed phrases, and other secrets you split, and the cards QuorumPony produces from them, are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded, synced, or transmitted anywhere. The app does not retain a copy of your secret or your cards after you leave the relevant screen. Where your cards go after you print or export them is up to you.

No servers

QuorumPony works fully offline. There is no QuorumPony server for the app to talk to. You can use it in airplane mode and nothing changes. Because there is no server and no account, there is no database of users and nothing for us to lose or hand over.

Camera

The app requests camera access only so you can scan a card's QR code during recovery or checking. Camera frames are processed on your device to read the code and are not stored or sent anywhere. If you prefer, you can type codes by hand instead and never grant camera access.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you enable the app lock, QuorumPony uses Apple's Face ID or Touch ID through the system. The biometric data itself is handled entirely by iOS and is never seen by or shared with the app.

Clipboard

When you copy a recovered secret, the app clears it from the clipboard automatically after a short time, to reduce the chance of it lingering where another app could read it.

Children

QuorumPony is a utility for backing up keys and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Because the app collects nothing, substantive changes are unlikely.
