Import it
With GnuPG on a desktop:
# fetch, import, and check the fingerprint
curl -O https://quorumpony.com/assets/pgp/norsehorse.asc
gpg --import norsehorse.asc
gpg --fingerprint norsehorse@norsehor.se
In PGPony, the sibling app: open the Decrypt or Exchange tab, paste the block or share the downloaded .asc into the app, and it lands in your keyring. Then check that the printed fingerprint matches the one at the top of this page before you encrypt anything sensitive to it.
What it's for
- Security reports. If you're reporting a vulnerability and want to encrypt the details, encrypt to this key and send to NorseHorse@norsehor.se with subject SECURITY. See the disclosure policy.
- Verifying releases. Where a release or statement is signed with this key, a valid signature proves it came from the holder of the private key, not an impersonator.
- Private correspondence. Anything you'd rather not send in the clear.
